Since the 2016 academic year, the Miaoli County Government, Department of Education has recruited outstanding teachers from elementary and junior high schools across the county to serve as the nation’s first group of Full-Time Instructional Coaches. These coaches devote themselves entirely to providing professional support and collaborative services to frontline teachers.

The coaching team includes:

• Tsai Juan-Juan (Zhunan Junior High School)

• Lu Chia-Ling (Gongguan Junior High School)

• Chang Han-Chuan (Toufen Junior High School)

• Yang Ming-Hsien (Dahu Junior High School)

• Wen Ying-Mei (Datong Elementary School)

• Yeh Yi-Mei (Jianguo Elementary School)

• Chen Chih-Kang (Xinde Elementary School)

With their passion and expertise, these coaches aim to accompany and support teachers throughout Miaoli County, fostering professional growth together.

The cross-disciplinary thematic lesson plans were collaboratively developed by the seven Full-Time Instructional Coaches. Based on the 12-Year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), these lesson plans offer a variety of international education curricula and instructional strategies across different levels and types. They serve as valuable resources for elementary and junior high school teachers, promoting deep learning and the cultivation of core competencies across entire schools.
